Miss Leslie: Somehow I didn't hear or FORGOT that Country Jim is your DAD! Wow! What a Talented Family! Unfortunately Jim, your MAMA's Good Looks SKIPPED a Generation, but Luckily, Leslie GOT 'EM Right?! (heehee) Anyway, I will be @ the Continental Club WED! Mandy Smith and a member of MUSTANG LIGHTNING will be there also! Tweed Smith who works for Calvin Owens told me that when he's in a Writing/Recording/ Doing Horn Charts mode etc. that there is no way to Guarantee I'll be able to Get Him Out of the House?! BUT Tweed herself will be coming to see you NEXT WED! I gave her your Bumper Sticker and started telling her about the Band and She said "Oh! I KNOW I'll LOVE THEM!" Calvin will be OPENING for GRADY GAINES on THURS in Downtown CONROE! Can JIM or LESLIE make it up here?

Just ran the video clip "A-11," and I am so-o-o knocked out. Buck Owens' original version is a winner, of course, but nothin' gets me in a sweat like the stompin', hard kickin' Paycheck version. Johnny must be smilin' on ya' right now, but I doubt that George Jones is. You see, Johnny stole Ole Possum's band and hauled them into the stuido to make that record, an' George weren't none too happay about it when he sobered up the next day and found out what's they'd done. All the same, about the best record Johnny Paycheck ever made, and YOU bring it back in the TRUE spirit. Thanks. Love ya. See y'all again soon.

Glad to see there's still some real honky-tonk gals still singing real country music... and doing it very well, I might add! I liked the jukebox web design also- very clever. I really enjoyed your site!

Leslie,

I just happened across a radio station in Ft Worth on Friday "The Ranch" and they were interviewing you on your new album. Honkey Tonk Revival I believe. I have to say, I have all but given up on country music. Most stations play what they call country and the others play stuff that is just plain stupid. The Texas country generation has produced a few "Traditional" artists, but most are still leaning toward the "who in Gods name wrote that song" Category.

Now as for you, I beleive i have a new found faith and Lord willing there will be more that will follow your truly unique sound. I have been talking about you since i heard only one song, and i am no easy listner to please. My hats off to you Ma'am and your band for bringing good ole country back to us. I am still looking for your cd in the store's and truly looking forward to many more albums.

God Bless

Hey, Leslie & Randy. I just wanted to say that I truly enjoyed your new album. That is what country music is supposed to sound like! I've had the pleasure of playing music with Bobo, Joe & a little with Leslie. Bobo is one of the best musicians I've ever played with & Joe is a solid drummer. I also liked Jake Jenkins songwriting. Keep up the gret work & tell everyone I said hello.

Howdy!

Thank a lot for sending your fantastic new CD to me.
As soon I'm back on air again you can count on spins.
Together with Red Smiley and Dugg Collins this must be the album of the year!
Country music cannot be better than this.
This album was really worth waiting for.

Kindest regards

Caught your act at the Houston Press Showcase. (my girlfriend and I were sitting up in the so called balcony.)

Your music reminded me of summer weekends spent to listening to the various country acts that appeared at Lake Houston in the 60's.

Looking forward to seeing you again where you may have some breathing room and no feedback!

We left early just to beat the traffic. Can't wait to give my sweetie a spin to your music.

I enjoy all types of music, but your act was my favorite of the day and your Band has my vote.

Best Wishes

Hey Miss Leslie, I have not been able to attend any of your shows but, hope to be able to in the future. I am also a singer and have a band of my own so, we're working most of the time. I did listen to your song clips though and thought they were great. I love your voice. Real country. I read the review that said you were too country. Nashville doesn't know what country is anymore anyway. I do traditional country and western swing and have found my family in the Academy of Western Artists. Be true to thine own heart. As long as your doing what you love, that's all that matters. I can't wait to see you. You can check us out at www.leadingedgeband.com

Leslie; It was a JOY and a honor to play on your new CD/EP. You have a wonderful voice and play a Mean Fiddle and a wonderful Husband/Musician; and it was a pleasure layin' down some pedal Steel on your project. Thanks for having me and I wish you all the luck in the world and anything I can do to help; just YELL.

Wow, looks real good. Some words from Bob Benson:

There has to be a song.

There's just too many dark nights,

And too many troublesome days,

And too many wearisome miles.

There just has to be a song.

To make our burden's bearable,

And to make our hopes believable.

To transform our successes into praise,

And to release the chains of past defeat.

Somewhere down deep, in a forgotten corner of one's heart...

Yea, there has to be a song.

Like a cool clear drink of water,

Like the gentle warmth of sunshine,

And like the tender love of a child.

There has to be a song.
